Department of Biological Sciences
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali, India

We study different aspects of arthropod biology ranging from behavior to functional genomics.

The general themes of these research areas are evolution, genetics, and genomics. Current research projects focus on symbiosis, host-microbe interactions, the biology of maternally inherited endosymbionts, behavioral ecology, and microbiome dynamics. The biological questions that we seek to answer often involve the use of techniques that can range from fieldwork to genomic tools. Interested students are encouraged to contact us directly for further information.
